Newsnomics AJAY ANGELINA Reported | The FIR of assassinate attack on Former Prime Minister Imran khan was registered under Section 7 of the Anti-Terrorism Act, 1997 at Wazirabad’s City police station; submitted to the Supreme Court (SC) Islamabad, Pakistan by Punjab Inspector General (IG) Faisal Shahkar.
According to a notification issued by the Punjab prosecutor general, 3-members prosecutor’s team including Punjab Deputy Prosecutor General Hafiz Asghar Ali, Gujranwala ATC Deputy District Public Prosecutors Rana
Sultan Salahuddin Khan and Zahid Sarfraz Khan will inquire about assassination attempt on PTI chief Imran
Khan in Wazirabad, Pakistan.
Instruction says, the committee “will give line of inquiry to the investigating officer/ JIT (joint investigation
team), provide guidance for collection of proper admissible evidence and conduct the remand of the accused before the anti-terrorism court (ATC)”, and also will conduct the prosecution on behalf of the state before the
court.

Imran Khan also clarified in his interview that the gunfire was from several directions, “there was definitely two shooters, this guy being caught fired the first volley … then there was another volley [that] came in over our heads because we were falling down,” he said.
