Sunday Nov 13 left 4 people dead and injured 38 said by the authorities. This avenue is a crowded popular

place with tourists and locals, lined by shops and restaurants.

Istanbul Gov. Ali Yerlikaya tweeted that the explosion occurred at about 4:20 p.m. (1320 GMT) and that there were deaths and injuries. The cause of the explosion is not clear.

Turkey was targeted by the Islamic State group and outlawed Kurdish groups between 2015 and 2017 with

deadly bomb attacks.

13일(현지시간) 오후 4시20분께 이스탄불의 인기 있는 이스티클랄 에비뉴(Istiklal Avenue)에서 폭탄이 터지는 사고가 발생했다. 

이날 폭발 사고로 4명이 사망하고 38명이 부상했다고 파키스탄 당국이 밝혔다.

이스티클랄 애비뉴는 상점과 레스토랑이 늘어서 관광객과 현지인으로 붐비는 인기 있는 장소이다.

알리 예를리카야 이스탄불 주지사는 트위터에 폭발이 이날 오후 4시 20분쯤 발생했다고 밝혔다.

하지만 이날 행정당국이 폭발 원인을 조사하고 있으나 명확하지 않은 것으로 전해졌다.

터키는 2015년과 2017년 사이에 이슬람국가(IS)의 표적이 되었고 치명적인 폭탄 공격으로 쿠르드족을 불법화했다.
