Natural disasters such as earthquakes are common in Pakistan because of country’s location on the boundary of the Indian and Eurasian tectonic plates.

The Eurasian Plates also known as tectonic plate includes most of the continent of Eurasia (a landmass consisting of the traditional continents of Europe and Asia), with the notable exceptions of the Indian subcontinent, the Arabian subcontinent and the area east of the Chersky Range in eastern Siberia. A tectonic plate is also called the Indian plate that is pushing the north part into the Eurasian plate.
