An additional 50% rise in the Pakistani passport fee will be applicable for the travelers as the citizens would have to pay the increased amount of fee to obtain the essential travel document” announced by the federal government of Pakistan.

According to the Government of Pakistan, the enhanced passport fee will be applicable from 7.3.2024. All passport applications made on or after March 7 will be charged with newly mentioned fee rates. In case of pass ports applied before the mentioned date will be charged with the old fee rates.

According to the notification, the fee for an ordinary 36-page passport for five years has hiked from Rs. 3,000 to Rs. 4,500, while the urgent processing fee enhanced from Rs.5,000 to Rs. 7,500. The citizens would have to pay Rs.6,700 instead of Rs. 4500 for 36-page passport with validity of 10 years. Whereas the urgent fee for a 36-page passport having a validity of 10 years enhanced to Rs.11,200.

The fee enhancement for 72-page passport valid for 5 years shows the rise of Rs. 8,200 in case of normal and Rs.13,500 for urgent processing application, while 72-page passport valid for 10 years shows the enhanced fee of Rs 12,400 and Rs 20,200 have been fixed for normal and urgent processing respectively.

The enhanced fee for the 100-page passport valid for five years will be Rs 9000 for standard processing and Rs.18,000 for urgent processing. On the other hand, the 100-page passport valid for 10 years shows Rs.13,500 for normal processing and Rs. 27,000 for urgent processing.

It is also to notify that Passport having validity of 5 years cannot be converted into validity for 10 years. More over, the children under 15 years will be issued Passport carrying the validity of 5 years
