Six concrete pillars fell from a truck moving on the highway caused damaging of two vehicles and injuring

three people.

 

According to the 5th District of the Jeonnam Police Agency's Highway Patrol Division six concrete pillars fell

from a 25-ton truck driven by a man (64) at the 90km point toward Suncheon on the Honam Expressway in Jangseong-gun, Jeollanam-do, and crossed into the opposite lane at around 6:40 a.m. on 28th, August 2024.

 

The cause of falling down of the heavy concrete pillars was the damage of the front wheel of the truck.

 

An 8-ton truck and an IONIQ vehicle traveling in the opposite lane were hit by a concrete pillar and comp-

letely damaged due to the fall of concrete pillars .

 

Three drivers, including Mr. A has been injured and taken to the hospital.

 

This accident caused congestion on the Honam Expressway for over three hours.

 

The relevant authorities are going to investigate the exact circumstances of the accident against Mr. A.
