The MoU was signed by Naol Debele, Chief Executive Officer of Jethi, and Yuya Nakamura, President and CEO of Axelspace. The signing ceremony, held in Ethiopia on January 13 (local time), was attended by representatives of the Space Science and Geospatial Institute (SSGI) of Ethiopia, members of the Jethi Board of Directors and invited guests, in an official and protocol capacity. Axelspace positions the expansion of EO data utilization in emerging markets, including Africa, as a key medium- to long-term strategic priority. Through this collaboration, Axelspace aims to support locally driven, data-informed solutions. Under the MoU, Axelspace will provide EO data and know-how for its utilization across priority sectors, including agriculture, environmental and forest conservation, disaster risk management and climate resilience, urban planning and infrastructure development. Jethi will lead the establishment of a local framework for EO data utilization in Ethiopia, coordinating with relevant stakeholders to integrate satellite data with local information and institutional requirements. The partnership aims to identify priority challenges, develop scalable solutions that combine EO data with local information, and foster the growth of a sustainable ecosystem for satellite data utilization in Ethiopia. 차바이오그룹에 100억원 규모 투자 및 디지털 헬스케어 협력 본격화

LG CNS는 14일 경기도 성남시 판교 차바이오컴플렉스에서 차바이오텍과 100억원 규모 지분 투자 및 AX·DX 사업 협력을 위한 전략적 파트너십 협약을 체결했다. 이날 협약식에는 LG CNS CEO 현신균 사장과 차바이오그룹 차원태 부회장 등 양사 주요 경영진이 참석했다. 차바이오그룹은 병원, 제약, 바이오 연구, 의료 서비스를 아우르는 종합 바이오·헬스케어 그룹이다. 차바이오텍을 중심으로 차AI헬스케어, CMG제약, 차백신연구소, 차헬스케어, 차메디텍 등 의료·바이오 계열사를 두고 있다. 국내뿐만 아니라 미국·싱가포르·호주·일본 등 해외에서도 병원과 의료 사업을 운영 중이다. 이번 투자를 통해 LG CNS는 차바이오그룹과 정기 협의체를 구성하고, 주요 AX·DX 사업을 진행한다. 단기적으로는 그룹 내 클라우드 인프라 전환과 함께 데이터를 통합하는 스마트 빅데이터 플랫폼 구축에 나선다. 치료제 생산 시설 인프라를 AI 기반으로 고도화해 생산 공정도 최적화할 계획이다. 중장기적으로는 차바이오그룹의 전략 사업인 특화 AI 모델 기반 ‘커넥티드 헬스케어 서비스’를 공동 사업화한다. 병원과 주거 공간, 웨어러블 기기 등에서 발생하는 다양한 건강·생활 데이터를 헬스케어에 특화된 AI가 분석해 건강 위험 신호가 포착될 경우 의료진 연결, 진료 안내, 응급 대응까지 후속 조치를 자동으로 연계하는 서비스다. 이를 위해 LG CNS는 LG AI 연구원이 개발한 ‘엑사원(EXAONE)’을 활용해 헬스케어에 특화된 sLLM을 구축하고 의료, 유전자, 생활 데이터를 수집해 관리하는 빅데이터 플랫폼을 구현할 계획이다. 양사는 차바이오그룹이 보유한 미국·싱가포르·호주·일본 등 해외 병원 네트워크를 활용해 커넥티드 헬스케어 서비스를 글로벌로 확장하는 방안도 검토 중이다. 향후 플랫폼 운영 과정에서 축적되는 데이터와 경험을 바탕으로 유관 산업으로의 확장 가능성도 모색한다.
