Newsnomics AJAY ANGELINA reporter | The Israeli army has killed one Palestinian child on Thursday in the
West Bank city of Nablus, said the Palestinian health ministry.
“Amer Abu Zeitoun, 16, was killed by a bullet fired in the head by the occupation (Israeli) soldiers during the aggression on Nablus at dawn today” announced by the health ministry.
Lions’ Den, a local militant Palestinian group said, “its fighters had been involved in the overnight clashes in
the Balata refugee camp in Nablus”.
Zeitoun is the fourth Palestinian killed by Israeli forces in the West Bank since the start of the year 2023.
According to the Palestinian health ministry report, “A child Adam Essam Shaker Ayyad aged 15 was dead,
with a bullet in the chest fired by the occupation soldiers during the aggression on Bethlehem at dawn today.
"
Earlier, announced the deaths of “Mohammad Samer Hoshieh, 22, after being shot in the chest, and Fuad
Mohammad Abed, 25, after being shot in the abdomen and thigh” during a raid by the Israeli army in Jenin
on January 3, 2023.
Israel regularly destroys the homes of individuals it blames for attacks on Israelis and says their practice is
effective.
According to United Nations data, 2022 was the deadliest year for Palestinians when at least 150 Palestinians
and 26 Israelis were killed across Israel and the West Bank, including Israeli-annexed east Jerusalem.
