Pakistan's top tourist attractions to enjoy winter snowfall

Kalash valley, Malam Jabba, Ziarat, Kaghan, and Murree are the

mountainous regions in northern Pakistan turns into snowy wonderlands are the top winter destinations to
enjoy snowy season.

enjoy snowy season. These places not only draw you close to nature through their natural beauty but also

offer outdoor activities like skiing, chair lift, giant swing, photo points and snowboarding became the inter-

national tourist attractions among the foreign world.


1-Kalash valley

 

Kalash valley is beautifully Surrounded by breathtaking views of the snow-capped mountains that stretches

across three remote valleys: Bumburet, Rumbur and Birir. These valleys are located 20 miles south of Chitral. 


The winter season is regularly snowy with -12 degree, especially during December and January. Kalashas are

the regional people of Kalash valley, are best known for their hospitality and colorful culture include traditional dance and music. 


The three major festivals locally include Zhoshi (May 12-16), Uchaw (August 20-22) and Chawmos

(December 7-22). 


2-Malam Jabba

 

Malam Jabba, is one of the scenic hill station in Pakistan, beautifully rests in the Hindu-Kush Mountain range nearly 40 km from Saidu Sharif in Swat Valley, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province of Pakistan. 


It hosts one of the top ski resorts in the country that offers a recreational activity such as chair lift, Zipline, human slingshot, giant swing etc. along with the scenic views of the surrounded valley.


The valley is based on a series of small villages and settlements like Salanda, Jehanabad, Talegraam, Badar,

Ser, Malam, Kishora, Spine Oba, and finally Jabba. Malam is a small village which comes prior to Kishora village on the main Malam-Jabba Road Madyan-Kalam that connects most of these areas. 


The snowfall in Malam Jabba starts at the end of November that continues until the beginning of March, on average bases. However, January and February are the best seasons to enjoy snowfall and the adventurous

sports of skiing.


3-Ziarat

 

The valley of Ziarat is undoubtedly the most luring tourist attraction in Baluchistan. The delightful long snowy

season from November to March makes Ziarat one of the country’s most wonderful places to enjoy snowfall.

 

This beautiful hill station can also explore the age-old shrines and ancient sacred sites that presents the

region’s interesting past. 


Ziarat Residency is also the most prominent landmarks of the valley, a prime example of architectural brilliance. Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah, the founder of Pakistan has spent the last days of his life at this resting place for him.


Ziarat is a holiday resort amidst one of the largest and oldest Juniper forests in the world. It is said that some of the Juniper trees are as old as 5000 years. 

 

4-Kaghan

 

 

Kaghan valley is the fourth popular tourist attraction to enjoy snowfall that stretches 160 kilometers across the Mansehra District in Northern Pakistan. Kaghan’s 155-kilometre-long valley is enveloped by the Lower Himalayan mountain range, resulting in an alpine climate and the prevalence of pine forests and alpine meadows.

 

The flow of the Kunhar River, the valley features glaciers, crystal-like clear lakes, waterfalls and frosty mountain stream also increase the beauty of Kaghan valley.


The elevation of Kaghan Valley starts from 2,134 feet (650 m) and goes all the way to 13,690 feet (4,170 m)

at Babusar Pass, which is its highest point. The Kaghan Valley shared its borders with the Pakistani-administered territories of Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir to the north and east, respectively.

 

5-Murree

 

Murree is arguably the most popular mountainous destination situated in the foothills of the Himalayas

among vacationers in all seasons of Pakistan. It has also transformed into the most famous and attractive

place to enjoy snowfall in winter. The breathtaking vacation spot is also known as “Malika-e-Kohsar” (the

Queen of Hills).


Tourists from different parts of the country and the rest of the world rush to Murree to see the first snowfall of the winter season as it is conveniently accessible for all. While enjoying the snowy season in Murree, you can

also enjoy riding the Patriata Chairlift and gazing at the awe-inspiring aerial views of the snow-covered vege-

tation and mountains. 


Tourists can also enjoy the best hotels in Murree with comfortable stay during their trip to the hill station.
