Newsnomics AJAY ANGELINA reporter | Imran Khan, Pakistan’s former Pakistan Prime Minister and the chair
man of PTI has been arrested by the paramilitary troops in Islamabad on behalf of allegations brought by the country’s anti-corruption agency on May 9, 2023.
According to the reports, as Imran Khan entered through the gate of the Islamabad high court, the para-
military forces and armored personnel carriers entered after him.
The gate was blocked by the armored vehicles as Khan entered and was whisked away under heavy security by unknown people to an unknown location.
Fawad Chaudhry, PTI spokesperson said “the political leader Imran Khan had been “whisked away by
unknown people to an unknown location.”
According to the reports, the paramilitary forces attacked Islamabad High Court premises, broke down the
windows and arrested Imran Khan, not only that they violently grab him and beaten him.
A lot of allegations have been brought against the great leader since he has been ousted in a parliamentary
no-confidence vote last year and has since fighting for the justice by leading popular campaign against the
current government.
Last November he was attacked by the gun during protest March and was under treatment for long time.
On Monday, the military warned him against making "baseless allegations" after he again accused a senior officer of plotting to kill him and arrest warrant against Imran was issued on May 1, 2023.
