South Korea’s economic delegation is going to visit Estonia, Lithuania and Finland this week announced by the Ministry OF Trade, Industry and Energy on Monday May 22, 2023.
The purpose of delegation to visit Europe is to explore the ways to boost cooperation in trade and various
new industry fields, that includes battery, bio and nuclear power generation with the respective nations, said
the industry ministry.
The delegation involves officials from SK, Celltrion, Korea Hydro Nuclear Power and Hanwha Aerospace led by Deputy Trade Minister Jeong Dae-jin.
On Monday the delegation will visit Estonia and hold a business roundtable with major Estonian companies
and sign a memorandum of understanding (MOU) calls for promoting bilateral investment prior to enhance
bilateral trade and the industry relationship.
On Tuesday, the delegation will visit Lithuania to discuss with the Vice Economic Minister Karolis Zemaitis, and the senior government officials,about the enhancement ways for the bilateral economic relationship centering on trade, supply chains, and technology development.
The Korean delegation is also scheduled to have business roundtable in Finland with Finnish companies to
seek business chances in bio, battery and a wide range of businesses.
In Finland, Korea will mark the opening ceremony of an office evaluating electric vehicle batteries to serve the European market with their strong presence, also expected to support Korean carmakers and secondary
battery firms, said the Korean Industry ministry.
