South Korea-Israel signed 6 MOUs on investment in Bio, Robot, Smart Mobility

South Korea plans to expand technological cooperation with Israel and with other global R&D institutes, develop R&D ecosystems and push for deregulation.

The Republic of Korea and Israel has signed 6 MOUs in the field of Bio, Robot and smart mobility on Wed-

nesday June 7, 2023. 

The signing ceremony was held at the Korea-Israel Business Seminar by Lee Chang-yang, the Minister of

Trade, Industry and Energy, South Korea and Eli Cohen Foreign Minister of Israel.

 

Korea’s Cure Therapeutics and Israel’s Adva Biotechnology has agreed to establish a plant for mass-production of cell therapies.

 

MOTIE, Korea’s Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and the Israel Innovation Authority (IIA) started a USD

77 million industrial technology R&D fund in 2001 to nurture competitiveness in advanced technologies, l

aunching a total of 196 joint projects and selecting areas that require mid-to-long term R&D as part of the

“Lighthouse Program”, including robots and intelligent transport systems (smart mobility).

 

Korean Minister Lee, in his congratulatory remarks said, “the Ministry plans to expand technological cooperation with Israel and with other global R&D institutes, develop R&D ecosystems and push for deregulation.”

 

Approximately, 100 persons from countries’ governments and firms has been participated in the Korea-Israel Business Seminar.
