Pakistan applauded India’s Chandrayaan-3 soft landing on South Pole of the moon said is "a great scientific feat" in congratulatory remarks.

Mumtaz Zahra Baloch, a spokesperson of the Pakistan foreign office appreciated the great achievement of the neighboring country in her weekly press briefing expressed, "India's landing on the moon is a great scientific feat and the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) deserves praise for this important achievement.”

Chandrayaan-3 Rover ramp down from the Lander and India took a walk on the moon!” the Indian Space Research organization (ISRO) said in its message on Thursday morning.

Chanrayaan-3 (“moon vehicle “or “moon craft” in Sanskrit) is India’s third mission exploration touch down the lunar surface softly on Wednesday that made India the first country to reach the South pole of the moon, had been an area of key scientific and strategic interest for space-faring nations.

Chandrayaan-3 aims the lunar south pole, a region with water ice, or frozen water, that could be a source of oxygen, fuel and water for future moon missions or a more permanent moon colony.

Chandrayaan-3 is consisting of lander named “Vikram” and rover named “Pragyaan” packed with scientific instruments, prepared to capture data to help researchers analyze the lunar surface and deliver fresh insights into its composition.

Pragyaan, the Rover was carried to the moon in the belly of lander “Vikram” will circulate around the rocks and craters to gather crucial data and will send back the collected images to the earth for further analysis.

Pragyaan will try to find out the minerals available on the lunar surface and will study the chemical composition of the lunar soil. The Rover will only communicate with the lander that will send information to the earth by using the orbiter of Chandrayaan-2, still circulating around the Moon.

The rover will move at a speed of 1 cm per second - with each step it will also leave on the Moon's surface the imprint of Isro's logo and emblem embossed on its six wheels said the Indian Space Research Organization ISRO.
