India’s Chandrayaan-3’s Pragyan rover and Vikram lander has successfully completed its mission and went on a sleep mode on Saturday is now preparing for the upcoming two-week lunar night.
The two iconic vehicles hopefully will wake up on September 22, when the run rises again above the Lunar
South pole said the Indian space Research organization ISRO.
Chandrayan-3‘s lander (Vikram) “exceeds its mission objectives and "successfully underwent a hop experiment” means the lander made the soft-landing again on the lunar surface said ISRO on Monday.
Chandrayaan-3’s Vikram lander fired the engine on command and elevated itself by about 40 cm as expected showed that all systems are performed nominally and are healthy.
"Deployed Ramp, ChaSTE and ILSA were folded back and redeployed successfully after the experiment," the
ISRO explained.
