The Embassy of Islamic Republic of Pakistan in Seoul is hosting “Basant Musical & Cultural Festival Korea” in collaboration with ICPSC Korea at the Maru Park, Gangnam-gu, Seoul going to be held from June 21~23, 2024.
Basant, actually is a vibrant and colorful festival traditionally celebrated in Punjab region of Pakistan marks the arrival of spring and the end of the winter season. Basant, is a unique event also known for its kite-flying competitions makes the sky beautiful with multitude of colorful kites, joyous celebrations, creates an atmosphere filled with excitement and anticipation.
The Basant event also includes musical performances, traditional dances, and food festivals.It is a cultural phenomenon that brings together people of all ages and walks of life to celebrate the joy and vitality of the season.
This year Pakistan and South Korea combinedly are going to celebrate their own cultural diversity through Pakistan-Korea kite flying Festival, Cultural musical performances, Korean & Global traditional fashion, Global food market and so on.
The musical performance includes Korean K-POP songs, Pakistani cultural songs, Taal Band (Qawali) that will make your time enjoyable and memorable.
The Pakistan nationals residing in Korea as well as all Korean nationals can experience the Korean traditional dance through this unique event. Just one experience of watching the light and graceful movements of Korean traditional dance will have you captivated.
Pakistani artists will perform Sufi Dance, a mesmerizing and profound dance form, carrying an integral aspect of Sufi traditions, philosophy, and poetry rooted in the teachings of Sufism. This enchanting dance is performed by the Whirling Dervishes as a spiritual practice aimed at attaining divine unity.
Basant Musical & Cultural Festival Korea will be more delightful through the Global Traditional Fashion Shows by a couple or family of Ambassadors or Diplomats. Not only that, Korean models are going to show the beauty of Korean traditional dress Hanbok through Fashion show
