A Super Typhoon Yagi has caused more than 200 casualties in Vietnam.
Heavy rains triggered by typhoon Yagi have caused severe floods and landslides in Lao Cai, Yen Bai, Thai Nguyen, and Cao Bang, resulting in multiple fatalities, injuries and missing persons.

According to VN Express and the BBC on the 10th (local time),127 people were killed and 54 were missing in Vietnam as of 6 p.m. Most of the dead and missing people were affected by the floods and landslides caused by Typhoon Yagi.
According to officials, at least 752 people were injured due to floods and landslides.
As water levels in several rivers, including the Red River in Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam, rose to dangerous
levels and authorities evacuated nearby residents.
In particular, the areas such as Yen Bai, Lao Cai, and Thai Nguyen are highly damaged by the Super Typhoon with approximately 35,000 households suffering from flooding.
Typhoon Yagi is declared the Vietnam's most powerful storm in 30 years that has wreaked havoc across the
north of the country, leaving 1.5 million people without power.
The Vietnamese authorities have warned that Yagi will create more disruption as it moves westwards.
Accordingly, authorities have currently issued flood and landslide warnings to 401 autonomous districts in 18 northern regions.
Before hitting Vietnam, Yagi left 24 people dead across southern China and the Philippines.
As per Meteorologists the world warms typhoons can bring higher wind speeds and more intense rainfall,
although the influence of climate change on individual storms is complicated.
