국제 한국의 지원으로 영근 디지털 혁신창업의 꿈…캄보디아 국립창업보육센터 오픈

뉴스노믹스 전상천 기자 | 대한민국 지원으로 캄보디아 청년들이 혁신 창업의 꿈을 키워 갈 ‘디지털 스타트업의 메카’ 국립창업보육센터가 문을 열었다. 앞으로 캄보디아의 예비 창업가들은 이곳에서 사업 공간과 인공지능(AI), 블록체인 등 신기술 지도는 물론 초기 투자금까지 지원받을 수 있다. 코이카(KOICA·한국국제협력단)는 지난 14일(현지시각) 캄보디아를 공식 방문한 장원삼 이사장이 참석한 가운데 캄보디아 수도 프놈펜의 왕립프놈펜대학교 내 국립창업보육센터(National Incubation Center of Cambodia, NICC)의 개소식을 가졌다고 밝혔다. NICC는 코이카의 ‘캄보디아 산학연게 비즈니스 인큐베이팅 체계 구축사업’의 일환으로 신축된 창업 지원 공간이다. 캄보디아 정부가 ‘국립 기관’으로 인정한 NICC는 2천300㎡ 규모의 4층 건물에 사무실, 회의실, 시제품 제작소, 디지털 스튜디오 등을 갖췄다. 코이카는 NICC를 통해 디지털·과학·환경 등 고부가가치 산업 분야에서 참신한 아이디어를 가진 캄보디아 청년들이 안정적인 창업을 할 수 있도록 △사업 공간 지원 △초기 투자금(시드머니) 제공 △경영 및 디지털 기술 지도 △한-캄 대학 창업
