뉴스노믹스 최대억 기자 | 올해 1월 전 세계 선박 발주량이 전년 동기 63% 줄어든 가운데(전월 대비 22% 감소,), 수주 경쟁에서 중국이 절반 이상을 차지해 1위를 기록했고 한국이 33%로 뒤를 이었다. 7일 영국의 조선·해운시황 전문기관인 클락슨리서치에 따르면 올해 1월 전 세계 선박 발주량은 72척·196만CGT(표준선 환산톤수)로, 아직 선주에게 인도하지 않은 잔량(1월말 기준)은 총 1억913만CGT다. 발주량 1위는 중국으로 112만CGT(40척, 57%)를 수주했고, 한국은 64만CGT(12척, 33%)로 2위를 기록했다. 1월 기준 전 세계 수주잔량에서 전월 대비 한국은 38만CGT(1%) 줄었고, 중국은 3만CGT 증가(0.06%)했다. 전년 동기에 비해서는 한국 20% 증가했고, 중국은 15% 늘었다. 선박의 가격을 나타내는 지표인 신조선가지수(Newbuilding Price Index)는 상승세가 이어졌다. 1월말 클락슨 162.51로 전년 동기보다 8.25포인트 올랐다. 선종별로는 액화천연가스(LNG) 운반선 2억4천800만달러, 초대형 유조선(VLCC) 1억2천000만달러, 초대형 컨테이너선 2억1천500만달러 등이다.
